Alice Lin
2008-09 Utah DECA State President
I live in Salt Lake City, and I am a senior at West High School. I’m really involved with a lot of extracurricular activities and I couldn’t imagine a life without any commitments or ongoing projects. I like to stay busy. Aside from DECA I’m involved in Student Government, the school newspaper, Mock Trial, Debate, Dance Company, and Tennis to name a few. I’m excited to be your State DECA President in my third year of involvement with DECA, and to also work with the other cool state officers and Jim Powell, who is our State Advisor, and also my Chapter Advisor and Economics/Business/Marketing teacher.
My favorite part about DECA is the International Career and Development Conference which I’ve been to in Orlando and Atlanta respectively in the past two years. It will be in Anaheim in 2009—Disneyland here we come! It really has been great networking with people across the state though, as well as nationally, it’s a whole different ball game.
I’m interested in just chilling, springtime, reading good books, swimming, dance, and a whole lotta other stuff. I enjoy stimulating my knowledge of the world. I like being friends with people.
